More Caricature Carving with Terry Moss

Terry Moss is a skilled caricature carver and the president of the Capitol WoodCarvers Club in Salem. In this weekend workshop you will carve either the one of two pirates. However, depending on class interest, you may have an opportunity to carve Uncle Sam, Willy Wonka, or a Pilgrim.

The class is intended for beginner and intermediate carvers but those with more experienced are welcome.  The figure is carved from 2x2x12 Basswood which will be roughed out ahead of time so students can concentrate on the essential carving and have a hope of getting done in the weekend.

COST - about $125.  Pay the instructor directly

PREREQUISITES - Beginner or intermediate level carver or above with some experience using a carving knife.

FOOD - Bring your own

TOOLS - You will need to provide your own tools, carving glove, and thumb guard.  Tools will be a detail knife, small V tool, and small gouges.  Palm tools from our Tool Library will be available to use during the class.
