March Meeting

(Tentatively) June 8th, 7:00 - 9:00 pm

Janet Bolyard of Mesa, AZ and author of the Complete Gide to Soap Carving will give the ins and outs of carving soap.  She covers projects for children as well as adults, both simple and complex designs.  Soap - not just for kids.

Zoom Meeting
(Link will be sent out when you register, and two days before the event)

Soap, clay, linoleum, gourds, leather, high density urethane, and to some extent stone, don't have grain.  All can be carved and all have their place.  Soap is an ideal material for teaching children and others because the material is soft so tools don't have to be sharp.  Janet wrote the book on working with soap and you will find this a fascinating topic, whether to help beginners carve safely, or to explore a new material for your own work.
