February Meeting

Feb 9th, 7:00 - 9:00 pm

Don Baiar of the Feather and Quill Carving Club and the Columbia Flyway Wildlife Show will present a tourist guide through the wide world of bird carving

DESCRIPTION

The world of bird carving is incredibly large and has a lot of passionate practitioners, including many in our area.  The Columbia Flyway Wildlife Show in Vancouver is a major event, attracting entrants from all over the US.  The show has been produced by the local Feather and Quill Carving Club for over 25 years.  Don Baiar of their board and an avid wildfowl carver and educator will do a presentation on what this type of carving entails (hint: it's multi-dimensional) and describe his own journey and current practice.
