Face Carving Workshop with Terry Moss

Terry Moss is a skilled caricature carver and past president of the Capitol Woodcarvers Club in Salem. In this weekend workshop you will explore facial details, see demonstrations, and carve along with the instructor to create a variety of faces on a story stick to take home.
MINIMUM - Five students, otherwise it will be rescheduled.
COST - $90, includes a 2x2 blank; extra blanks are $5 at the class
PREREQUISITES - Advanced beginner or intermediate level (or above) carver with experience using a carving knife.
FOOD - Bring your own lunch; coffee/tea/water/sodas/snacks provided.
TOOLS - You will need to provide a sharp detaill knife, carving glove, thumb guard, small (4-6mm) V tool, and optionally a narrow #11 (4-5 mm), if you have one. Tools from our Tool Library will be available during the class.
LIABILITY WAIVER - Before the class you will need to sign a typical form to waive liability for the host facility and the Oregon Carvers Guild.
CARVING SAFETY - You must read the relevant parts of our carving safety manual and be prepared to follow those practices.
COVID/FLU - What, me worry? Yes, we will, and you should plan on standard protocols of staying home if sick, living with some who is, recently exposed, etc.
CANCELLATION - Full refund if cancelled within 14 days of the class start. Half refund if cancelled 7 to 14 days of the start, and no refund if cancelled within 7 days, unless we can find a substitute student, or unless you are sick.
