ART-IN-THE-PEARL

Art in the Pearl is one of the largest fine arts show in the country.  Located in the beautiful Portland Parks Block, it is one of Portland’s most popular events.  The Guild has a demonstration booth where we promote the art of woodworking to the public with interactive demonstrations and displays.  It is also a chance to recruit new members.  

We are seeking volunteers to staff the Guild’s 10’ x 20’ booth on Labor Day Weekend Saturday, Sunday and Monday September 4/5/6 from 10:00-6:00.  No special skills needed other than the ability to interact with people, explain the Guild and tell people why you love woodworking. 

We are asking you to please sign up for one of the shifts of 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on each of the three days.  We need a minimum of 4 people per shift.  Please plan to show up 30 minutes early if at all possible to help setup and transition.  We have been given a number of Art-In-The Pearl T-Shirts.  They will be given out to the first volunteers who sign up until we run out – First Come, First Served.  Parking fees will be reimbursed.
