Guild of Oregon Woodworkers
Founded in 1978, over 1,000 members and a shop in Multnomah Village. Focuses on more classic woodworking (flat work) such as furniture, boxes, toys, and woodworking education. The Guild has a sizable group interesting in carving.
Northwest Woodturners
NWWT focus is on the diverse area of woodturning that includes bowls, hollow forms, vases, spindles and other items made on a lathe. In addition, different types of enhancements are used such as carving, pyrography, coloring, inlays and other types of designs. NWWT meets on the west side of Portland at the Multnomah Art Center.
Cascade Woodturners
Cascade Woodturners focus is also specifically on woodturning and the many different areas of woodturning. Cascade meets on the East side of Portland at the Pacific Northwest Carpenters Institute
